Our client is looking for an Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene Specialist to join their Health, Safety, Environment & Assurance team in Aberdeen.
As OH/IH Specialist you will provide professional expertise and senior subject matter advice in Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene matters and be accountable for the development, review and implementation of management system OH/IH standards and procedures

Responsibilities Include:
Strong influencing ability, with a high degree of flexibility in your working style expected for you to adapt to changing operational and business environments and priorities
A role model for HSSE&A compliance, working within HSE requirements and ensuring that related activities are planned and conducted in compliance with current policies and practices
Inclusive Leadership - delivers objectives through effective supervision, coaching and allocation of work. Communicates effectively and consistently role models company values, readily accepts accountability and insists on it from others
Financial - delivers budgeted outputs and monitors costs
Sound knowledge base in areas of Occupational Health & Industrial Hygiene
Ensures areas such as Noise, Radiation, Hand Arm Vibration, COSHH, Benzene, NORM, Ergonomics and Human Factors are addressed as part of medical service contract
Set clear instruction for travel health and assures, through audit, compliance with the process
Critically analyses health absence, case management, return to work and develops/recommends programs to improve performance
In conjunction with Human Resources, ensures wellness programs are in place and measures effectiveness
Development of a risk based annual OH/IH plan and budget for operations and projects
Attend and facilitate Risk Assessment/ HAZID/HAZOP sessions that require an OH input
Support & participate in the Incident Investigation process and monitor quality of reports and follow-up actions
Conduct offshore and in-country visits in support of improving OH/IH performance and maintaining effective workforce engagement
Collaborates effectively with other teams, and actively encourages individuals to build networks, share knowledge and participate in joint problem solving activities
Continuous Improvement & Innovation - Manages work in line with company systems and processes and takes every opportunity to consider alternative solutions in the light of lessons learned
Capability Development - Coaches team members to develop personal capabilities and enhance individual technical knowledge. Supports the personal development of individuals and demonstrates a personal commitment to lifelong learning
