The NEC3 Project Manager is central to managing/administrating the construction contract on behalf of the client, with responsibility for communication, risk management, works information and compensation events, achieving the clients objectives in terms of budget, programme, quality and product.

The NEC Project Manager will be on site regularly working closely with the NEC supervisor, communicating to the client progress report and updates, such as changes to the price, defects and compensation events.

Responsibilities:

  • monitoring progress
  • approving programmes
  • issuing Project Manager Instructions
  • reviewing and accepting the Design
  • accepting Subcontractors
  • assessing Compensation Events
  • issuing Early Warnings
  • maintaining the Risk Register
  • assessing amounts due for payment
  • Accepting or otherwise resolving defects

Education and Qualifications:

  • Civil engineering/construction qualification at degree (BSc/BEng/MEng) level.
  • Incorporated status and membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers (IEng MICE), or similar.
  • Health & Safety training.
  • Project Management training.
