An international energy contractor is seeking a seasoned Mechanical QC Inspector to supervise quality control during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases of a major LNG infrastructure development in Oman.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee mechanical QC activities by contractors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and contractual obligations.
- Review and approve procedures, ITPs, welding qualifications, and inspection documentation.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and ensure accurate reporting of non-conformities and corrective actions.
- Enforce implementation of the site QA/QC management system and support fabrication, installation, and material traceability.
- Interface with site teams to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Participate in FATs, SATs, and ensure all incoming materials are verified and compliant.
- Prepare QA/QC reports, maintain KPI dashboards, and contribute to continuous improvement of site practices.
- Minimum 15 years’ QA/QC experience with 10 years in similar mechanical inspection roles.
- HNC or equivalent qualification required; PCN/ISO 9712, CSWIP, or AWS CWI certification essential.
- Strong background in welding, NDT, coating/painting, and LNG facility construction.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English.
