Job Overview:

This role will supervise and lead inspectors for Mechanical Static and Rotating activities to determine conformity to client, project and code, standards and regulations requirements; Identify non-conformities and take appropriate action to control / prevent any occurrence; Perform Quality audits as applicable to verify compliance with project specifications and procedures; Interface with Construction, Field Engineering, Subcontractors, Certifying Authority and Client as required; Manage Mechanical QC resources, planning and execution of related Mechanical QC activities.

Reports functionally to the Site QA/QC Manager.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Establish and implement Mechanical (Static & Rotating) QC quality requirements (incl. HVAC)
Support in development, responsible for review and implementation of Mechanical Quality Plans & Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
Manage Mechanical QC activities during the construction phase
Perform Quality audits as applicable to verify compliance with project specifications and procedures
Interface with Construction, Field Engineering, Subcontractors, Certifying Authority and Client as required
Review and approval of subcontractor proposals, Mechanical QC ITPs and procedures.
Ensure all the requirements of Mechanical Specifications, Project Procedures and Drawings are followed.
Exercise a proactive approach in the prevention of any potential issues by interfacing with Construction, Field Engineering, Subcontractors and Client as required.
Essential Qualifications and Education:

College/university graduate and/or higher education with minimum 10+ years' experience in Mechanical Engineering/Construction and QA/QC function/inspections in oil and gas industry.
Familiar with site quality control surveillance schemes.
Desirable: API 650 Tank fabrication experience.
Major fabrication/construction site experience. Demonstrable similar scope experience if not energy industry related.
Familiar with construction standards and code of practices (e.g. ASME BPVC Section VIII, API 610)
Experience in coordination of third party authorities and associated regulatory requirements.
Preferred audit experience to ISO9001:2015 and/or construction inspection qualifications.
