Job description
Mechanical Fitter
Temporary - 3-6 months
Location - Rosyth
PAYE rate £15.94 per hour + holiday credits + overtime/shift allowance
Radius allowance paid at £25 per day if reside over 35 miles up to 5 days per week.
Umbrella PAYE rates also available
Main responsiblities and duties:
Carry-out planned installations, maintenance and removals of temporary and fixed mechanical systems and equipment to support the build, assembly and outfitting of Naval Platforms.
Role requires individual to complete all activities associated with mechanical scope of works, covering mechanical systems installation, support to testing & assistance with setting to work and commissioning activities throughout the platform.
Environment contains instances where the individual will be requirement to use elevated platforms (Working at height) and enter confined spaces such as tanks and compartments with limited access.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation of mechanical systems & equipment including shock and non-shock mounted items.
* Systems installation covering:
Shaft-line
Power Generation
Prime movers
Assorted valves, pumps etc
* Removal of mechanical equipment.
* Familiar with production output materials such as compartment layouts and detailed dimensional instructions, routing schematics, P&ID's, etc.
