Our client, a major international leader in oilfield services, are currently recruiting for the position of Mechanical Engineer, to join their R&D team in Calgary.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 2+ years' experience or Master Degree in Engineering
- 1+ year experience or Ph.D in Engineering
- May work in any of the following disciplines: Quality, Software, Mechanical, R&D, Petroleum, Civil, Electrical, Chemical or Reservoir
- Plans and conducts research, design and development of standard engineering assignments
- Select engineering techniques to solve problems and makes sound design recommendations
- Assess results for applicability, validity and conformance to specifications
- Assists in project planning and review
- Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity
- Assignment are reviewed for overall soundness and adherence to stated objectives
- Handles special projects, as assigned
- Good problem solving skills with a drive for results
- Good written and verbal skills
- Ability to build peer relationships as well as work independently
- Must be action oriented, ethical in value and have a strong customer focus
