Shift: M-F, 8am-5pm

Orion Group is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work onsite in Austin, TX with our medical device manufacturing client. This is an exciting contract-to-hire position that will go permanent for the right person!

Job Responsibilities:
* Performs a variety of engineering work in planning and design of products, tools, engines, machines and other mechanically functioning equipment and mechanical industrial processes.
* Oversees production, installation, operations, maintenance and repair of such equipment.
* Works with other engineering disciplines in the development and application of robotics.

Qualifications:
* Requires at least 7 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
* Engineering degree required, mechanical preferred but will consider other engineering degrees with commensurate experience.
* May specialize in one or more areas, such as fluid dynamics, pneumatics, hydraulics, thermal transfer, etc.
