Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide a focal point for all completions related materials and equipment inquiries, status and processes
  • Ensure that all completion material activities are in compliance with company policies and procedures including Environmental, Health and Safety
  • Coordinate with procurement team to ensure all purchase requests and purchase orders are issued with all required documentation and in time to meet required delivery.
  • Manage relationships with key completion suppliers in support of planned deliverables.
  • Manage and track inventory with timely posting of all relevant material movements in SAP such as goods receipts, goods transfers, goods consumptions and well returns.
  • Coordinate physical inventories and ensure any reconciliation is properly documented and completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure materials are stored properly to prevent damage
  • Coordinate logistics and tracking related to completions assembly make-up, break-out, and testing as required
  • Handle internal P2P inquiries and supplier inquiries related to completion materials invoices and orders.
  • Rapidly respond to short term material needs/shortages via expediting & acceptable alternatives.
  • Schedule returns, re-threading, repairs, and storage of materials returned from offshore.
  • Coordinate and ensure all completion related rental tools are tracked and accounted for as appropriate-ensure return to vendor is executed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a completions tracking tool that provides a well by well status of current inventory, orders, and consumption to provide visibility to order lead times and optimum order quantities to reflect use of current inventories and reduce project surplus. Evaluate disposal options for surplus material.
  • Monitor completions delivery progress for early identification of potential bottlenecks
  • Monitor storage at third party locations and ensure effective inventory controls are in place, materials are stored properly and the integrity and accuracy of the physical inventory matches with that of SAP.
  • Analyze root causes of inventory issues/deviations and provide resolutions and promptly communicate findings as appropriate.
  • Complete completion tangible well reconciliations in a timely manner and in accordance with Global Supply Chain policy and procedures.
  • Liaise with QA/QC team on inspection requirements, maintenance issues, NCR reports and follow-up with any actions required by the materials function.
  • Schedule maintenance and inspection of inventory as required as per procedures and guidelines
  • Originate material master requests, changes and deletions with proper approval from Drilling and Completions.
  • Participate in the resolution of audit exceptions from JV, statutory, or internal audits
  • Ensure all Completions materials are catalogued per company policy and/or initiate the cataloguing process for completion materials.
  • Coordinate planning sessions with key completions providers, asset engineers, QAQC and Procurement in support of addressing any potential bottlenecks, deferred deliveries or any other potential issues that may arise.
  • Support the completions technical community in any required supplier specific meetings and follow-up with any required actions and /or documentation.
  • Help manage post project materials clean-up (returns, buy-backs, disposal, reconciliation, final invoicing, etc)


  • Minimum of 5 + years' experience supporting drilling and completions operations preferably offshore operations.
  • Expertise in materials management activities including demand management, procurement, inventory management and optimization, logistics, and warehousing.
  • Good understanding of the material and equipment used in completion operations.
  • Experience in ERP inventory management preferably with the SAP MM Module.
  • Ability to work within a team environment with critical drivers and timelines
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, SAP MM Module, and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and people skills.
