Material Coordinator

Reports to T/A Coordinator

Summary of Role

Material coordinator is accountable for tracking and distribution of ordered material required for shutdown.

Specific Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for tracking of all ordered material
  • Work with CP to ensure the timely delivery of all material to site and identification any potential problems to the SD Coordinator
  • Responsible for the bagging and tagging of all material with Area and SAP order # (and Core trade - if necessary)
  • Responsible for the set up and management of material distribution
  • Accountable for an inventory of current material onsite (old surplus form past SD)
  • Work with other sites in the Foothills Region to maximize the use of surplus material
  • Accountable for staging material after received, and ensuring QC with trade specific planner.
  • Accountable for the storage of all material before execution use
  • Ensure the location of Material is clearly documented and handed over to Area Coordinators
  • Responsible for all material that will require off site repair (Not including PSV's)
  • Ensure all off site shipments have all required paper work (in conjunction with local shipper / receiver)
  • Accountable for the consolidated list of "Free Issue" and "Consumables" from all locations in to one list for ordering.
  • Contact for free issue material vendor
  • Accountable for ensuring all free issue staging points are appropriately stocked
  • Liaison between site warehouse and SD group
  • Maintain a daily journal of the events associated with their area of responsibility
  • Responsible for all surplus material in the post phase
