Roles & Responsibilities

  1. Monitors refined products pricing, relative to crude values and other market trends. Studies, analyzes, and reports on local economic and business environment, energy supply/demand outlook, and advises on strategic, crude, gas, petrochemical and refined product pricing and economics.
  2. Makes contact with organizations, joint ventures, and subsidiaries to negotiate and develop transfer pricing arrangements and pricing mechanisms. Reviews sales pricing agreements with internal and external parties, as well as developing performance indicators and analyzing effectiveness of product pricing formulas.
  3. Organizes, mobilizes, supervises, and evaluates outside consultants for solving specific Company problems as the need arises. Provides expert advice and guidance on problems related to planning management, analytical personnel and executive m
  4. Regularly meet with clients to discuss performance results, operations reviews, work management process reviews, benchmarking reviews, etc.; monthly and quarterly meetings will be used to evaluate performance results and address issues and overall business objectives.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Preferably a bachelor degree in Engineering, Business Administration or another technical field. Advanced graduate degrees or certificates are desirable in business related areas; i.e., MBA, Master of Economics, Financial Management, CFA, or other professional certifications.
  2. Proficient in a wide variety of statistical, financial, and analytical tools.
  3. Proficient in oral and written English. Some command of Arabic is beneficial but not essential.
  4. Typically has 15+ years' experience in the energy industry. With 3-5 years working experience as an economic, business, or financial analyst. And 10+ years in refined products sales & marketing, or trading price setting or formulation role.
  5. Knowledge of oil market dynamics and price setting mechanisms within and between energy sectors is a must.
  6. Experience in value and competitiveness analysis. And has a broad knowledge in Strategic, Business and Operational planning and performance analysis, relating to the supply and distribution, and marketing of refined petroleum products to end-use customers.
  7. Has gained an appreciation of operating problems and their relationship to planning and economics. Must have the proven ability to handle complex problems in a rigorous, analytical fashion.
  8. Leadership experienced is preferred. Must be able to think and work independently, take the initiative, and cope with deadlines and peak workload
