Job description

Marine Claims Specialist (London)

We are seeking a Marine Claims Specialist for our energy company based in London. This will be a 12-month PAYE contract based in their London offices on a part office/part work from home basis.

Candidates must have a background in supporting marine/shipping claims such as demurrage etc

Duties will include:

Handling of all shipping related claims arising from Marketing Trading activities

Handling of all cost of demurrage (ship delays)

Handling of complex quantity and quality claims

Preparing cases for legal and insurance handling

Key tasks will involve analysing, processing follow up and finalization of claims.

Issue claims in accordance with company's processes and procedures, ensuring that the company protects and recovers value that it is properly entitled to.

Properly record claims in relevant systems with necessary escalation to Management /Legal functions when required.

Provide advice /feedback /reporting to commercial teams on demurrage claims and related contract clauses.
