Orion Group are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineering Technician for a Multinational Medical Device Company Located in Inverness Scotland

Summary:

Person has responsibility for carrying out maintenance activities on the manufacturing equipment. This includes emergency, corrective and preventative maintenance. The person is also expected to professionally and systemically develop and improve the maintenance plan for the equipment to drive a reduction in emergency maintenance and improve efficiency. Strong technical skills are required in both electrical and mechanical disciplines and an ability to logically fault find and route cause problems. The position also demands the ability to work as a team and collaborate closely with operations and the ME2 on shift to understand priorities and assign resources as required.

Required:

Apprentice served with ONC/HNC in Engineering

or

HNG in a relevant Engineering Discipline

Required Knowledge:

  • Electrical/mechanical/pneumatic system knowledge
  • Knowledge of PLC/ microprocessor or computer controlled production equipment
  • Comprehend electrical and pneumatic schematics
  • Practical hands on individual
  • Experience with low and extra low voltage supplies
  • Previous experience in performing planned and unplanned maintenance
  • Demonstration of sound methodology in fault finding techniques
