Job Title: Manager - Submissions
Reports to: Senior Director - Planning and Commercial
Department: Planning and Commercial

Training attendance (# of training days per year)

Key Accountabilities:

Execute the functional strategy in line with the departmental strategy to ensure the achievement of departmental objectives in due course, cost and quality.

Operating Plans and Budgets
Assist in the development and implementation of the departmental annual business and operating plans, and KPIs
Oversee development of initial high-level design and construction budget of all of client's projects in the feasibility phase to estimate costs, project cash flows and capital requirements

Policies and Procedures
Implement functional policies, systems, procedures and controls to ensure objectivity, efficiency and effectiveness of operations

Continuous Improvement
Manage and Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in managing business operations with a view of stakeholders' expectations, commitments and international best practice.

Health, Safety & Environment
Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the function to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.

Frameworks, Boundaries, & Decision Making Authority:
The Manager - Submissions reports to the Senior Director - Planning and Commercial confers with the latter on critical and strategic/business related issues.
Key decisions having significant impact on the Submissions function are referred to the Senior Director - Planning and Commercial for approval before implementation.
The jobholder exercises financial authority as per the level established by the company management.

Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor in Engineering / Quantity Surveyor or in a similar discipline

Minimum Experience:
10 - 12 years in Project Control Systems / Project Planning with 3 yrs. in Senior role

Job-Specific Skills:
Extensive experience in Project Control Systems and reporting
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
