As Manager - Retail Business, you will;

  • Handle the Retail businesses in PNG
  • Manage the Retail Business Team and coordinate with Engineering on station maintenance and construction of new stations.
  • Ensure full compliance of the dealers & their staff, of the Retail Business Operating Procedure
  • Follow-up and quick resolution of customer issues.
  • Analyse financial information in relation to the dealers' P&L to ensure that Non Fuel revenue are optimized (license fee, commissions)
  • Coordinate activities such as customer events, and merchandising support to maximise business development opportunities or customer service levels.
  • Put in place the diversification activities with respect to Norms, layout and standards (Shop Planograms).
  • Optimize station profit thorough third party locators (ATM, Car wash, Lube Bay, Coffee shop & Restaurants).
  • lntroduce new initiatives and value added products from the Group.
  • Prepare weekly plan and activity report
  • Prepare a Monthly activity report.
  • Monitor monthly volume and profitability against plan & prior period results and prepare an analysis report on trends and variances.
  • Manage the Retail Business within the given budget.
  • Utilize efficiently the CAPEX budget - to what is assigned to Retail
  • Create innovative ideas to promote Total station products and services through effective A&P campaigns
  • Create relationship with suppliers and carry out in-store promotions.
  • Monitor and report competitors' activities on regular basis.
  • Manage and coordinate implementation and maintenance of Retail Information Systems including POS, BOS, HOS, WIFI, CCTV, Security Systems etc.
  • Manage credit exposure to dealers.
  • Achieve Top Service score of 95%
  • Coordinate Club Card Business
  • Coordinate Marketing Activities
  • Coordinate any other activity assigned.

Qualification & Experience

  • Degree majoring in Business, Marketing or Commerce.
  • Accounts management experience and managerial experience (employee relations)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Work, Excell, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated inter personal, communication (written and verbal) and leadership skills with the ability to work well with people at all levels and of different ethnic backgrounds and age groups
  • Appreciation or Understanding of the oil industry would be an advantage
  • Innovative and high capability of lateral thinking.
