Orion Group are delighted to be working alongside a well known client in Dundee in the search for a qualified management accountant to join the team on a permanent basis.

What is involved in the role:

  • You will report into the Group Finance Manager, working alongside other department managers to achieve overall objectives, these departments include HR, IT & Marketing
  • Production of cash flow forecasts
  • Leading day to day cash allocation
  • Preparation of monthly reconciliations, management and consolidated accounts
  • Maintain standard compliance levels with UK GAAP/ FRS102
  • Involved in the process of Audit (year end)
  • Preparation of annual HMRC returns
  • Budget & Variance reporting
  • Reporting to the board, financial performance. Ideally a commercially focused candidate who can report well with commentary
  • VAT submissions
  • Work closely with the team to ensure all deadlines are met
  • Suggest process improvement where possible
  • Manage workload accordingly, day to day tasks and projects

Experience / Profile required:

  • Must be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent)
  • Great communicative skills
  • Good systems knowledge, in particular MS Excel (Pivots, Vlookup etc.) and Sage
  • Commercially minded with a genuine interest in business and different markets
  • Self motivated
  • A minimum of 1 year in a similar role and at least 3 years in an Accountancy based role
