We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant based in the outskirts of Edinburgh near Blackhall. My client is offering a competitive salary for this position along with potential for study support. Reporting into the Finance Director;

In this role you will be providing consistent, accurate & timely financial information for areas of responsibility (regions, overheads, departments, sectors) while maintaining the proper control environment and documented procedures including balance sheet reconciliations and supporting analysis.

This is an opportunity to showcase your accuracy and attention to detail while assisting in ad-hoc finance requests & projects as designated by the Finance Director. You will be at least a Part-Qualified Accountant via either ACCA, CIMA or ACA(or equivalent)

We would also look for you to have excellent computer skills within excel and financial ledger systems. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a fast growing SME independent company with an excellent reputation.

Skills and Experience:

  • Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts, taking full ownership of the accounts.
  • Daily KPI management reporting.
  • Preparation of budgets and variance reports.
  • Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Intercompany recharges and reconciliations.
  • Monitor returns and credit notes.
  • VAT and Corporation tax returns.
  • Any other ad hoc finance work as required.
  • Advanced Ms Excel is essential.

The role will also require the following:

  • Manage a small team
  • Part Qualified, but will also look at QBE candidate or graduates with a relevant qualification.
  • Have the ability to create positive relationships with teams external to the finance function
  • Be an excellent communicator to confidently provide insight to senior management
  • Have a high level of accuracy and great attention to detail
