Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Maintenance Engineer based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities Include:
Budget holder for nominated maintenance responsibilities
Focal point for utilities plant support
Assist with management of facility maintenance operations towards achieving the targets of zero maintenance backlog
Maintain a close working relationship with the offshore maintenance team in the implementation of all duties
Responsible for the maintenance and uptime of the FPSO power generation (Wartsilas) and steam raising plant
Ensure communication of day-to-day technical status on issues with onshore and offshore team
Monitoring of the maintenance activities on the FPSO to ensure correct level of support to the Maintenance Manager
Monitor and report on maintenance performance based on targets for availability, reliability and manpower efficiency
Assist in the continual development of the BAUK Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Responsible for the management of the planned maintenance change request process
Assist with the management of maintenance alerts and review of Incident/loss reports (5-whys)
Assist with the development of maintenance strategies and monitor their implementation. Review and update the strategies as necessary
Ensure that Onshore and Offshore Management have visibility of impaired and/or defective safety and environmentally critical barriers
Provide maintenance and utility operations support to the Operations and Maintenance Managers
Provide Emergency Duty Manager and Technical Support function as a part of the ERT, as and when required
Liaise with the Maintenance Manager to ensure that necessary inputs are provided to protect the maintenance operation
Input to the 28 & 90 day planning process to ensure efficient deployment of maintenance resources as required
Develop and monitor the budget for the nominated maintenance responsibilities to minimise OPEX while achieving required availability
Monitor and report on maintenance performance-based targets for availability, reliability and manpower efficiency
Input to and monitoring of Health, Safety and Environmental yearly performance targets for maintenance activities. Monitor against agreed targets and propose actions to achieve these and any remedial actions required
Review reports from technical and maintenance service providers and initiate appropriate actions as required
Develop existing CMMS through regular review to establish an environment of continuous improvement
Manage criticality analyses, root cause analyses and follow up Condition Based Maintenance programs as required
Review and provide input into 3rd Party Service providers and Equipment Vendor contracts as required
Liaise with 3rd Party Service providers and Equipment Vendor as required
Perform operational spare parts review of assigned SECE and PCE equipment as per Maintenance Manager and client request
Demonstrate leadership, commitment and foster a culture where health, safety and the environment are not compromised

Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Marine or Mechanical Engineering and/or;
STCW Certificate of Competency Engineer Class 1 (steam & motor)
Significant experience within the offshore/marine industry
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills coupled with practical work knowledge and understanding of the technical challenges related to the operation of FPSOs
Trade certificate background
FPSO offshore supervisory experience
Ability to travel offshore on a regular basis
