Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Maintenance Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Main Duties Include:
Conducts all activities in a safe and effective manner and raises safety and environmental issues immediately and in line with corporate policy
Leadership - Undertakes the role in line with corporate policy and demonstrates behaviours in line with Nexen's values at all times. Readily accepts accountability
Financial - Carries out duties in a way that maximises value and minimises waste and risk.
Reviews Preventative Maintenance Routines for suitability prior to entry into the planning process.
Facilitates Maintenance Strategy Review Workshops
Provides Project Management and quality assurance for outsourced scopes of work.
Undertakes equipment criticality assessment in accordance with company procedures.
Undertakes equipment critical spares analysis in accordance with company procedures.
Reviews & updates Equipment Bills of Material in CMMS
Develops maintenance strategies to meet business goals and where appropriate ensures, standardisation of Maintenance Strategy application.
Manages project plans
Ensures new Project master data migration to CMMS
Establishes maintenance routines for new Project equipment
Participates in the cleansing of the existing transactional data
Participates in Obsolescence reviews
Improves Asset Equipment Availability and Reliability using current RCM techniques
Collaboration - Collaborates with others in the team and looks for opportunities to leverage their network and work with others to develop safe, practical and effective solutions
Continuous Improvement & Innovation - Continuously develops ways of working by seeking feedback from colleagues and key stakeholders. Complies with Nexen project management disciplines, effectively utilises knowledge databases and actively participates in project reviews
Capability Development - Looks for opportunities to develop technical and personal skills both by formal learning interventions and work experience. Coaches team colleagues where appropriate and demonstrates a personal commitment to lifelong learning
People Processes - Engages with people processes in a positive and timely manner. Demonstrates a commitment to the spirit of such processes.
Performs other duties, completes additional tasks and supports ad hoc projects as required

Education & Experience:
OND/HNC - can be offset with suitable experience
Adequate operational industry experience
Excellent Experience working with SAP CMMS.
Appreciation of commercial as well as technical issues.
Ability/Confidence to deal effectively with all levels of staff within the Corporation
Coaching skills, especially in Current Maintenance RCM techniques
Strong problem solving skills are a must to separate symptoms from underlying problems
Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise workload in the face of competing user demands
Ability to work independently in a team environment
Substantial experience: Previous role in an O&M Environment is essential
Experience in offshore/onshore support role would be beneficial to the position
Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to communicate effectively to all parties
Experience of Project and Change Management is essential
Ability to operate within the strategic, tactical and operational levels of an organisation and exert a disproportionate level of influence.
