Job description
Maintenance Electrician
Contract with view to Permanent
Location - Methil, Fife
Rate of pay - £16.73 per hour + overtime
This key role will be working with the maintenance team at the Waste-Water Treatment Plant in Methil, Levenmouth.
Key tasks are to carry out reactive and planned electrical maintenance activities at the site as part of an established site-based maintenance team.
Education and/or Experience:
Time served Electrician, qualified to IEE Regulations 18th Edition. Maintenance experience preferred.
Language Skills:
Good communicator with the ability to effectively present information in written and verbal format.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Training and competency with regards to the safe isolation of electrical and mechanical equipment essential. Training and qualifications related to LOLAR, PUWER and DSEAR regulations an advantage. HV competency desirable but not essential.
Physical Demands:
Ability to work at height and in confined spaces. Physically demanding role.
Work Environment:
Ability to work on own initiative at all times/or as part of team as appropriate.
Objectives:
* Assist with the implementation of a comprehensive site maintenance management regime.
* Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, schematics and O&M manuals.
* A strong electrical fault-finding capability
* A strong team working ethic with a flexible working approach
* Experience working with PLCs, star/delta startups.
Measurements:
Consistently provides high standard, high quality electrical & mechanical support to the established site-based maintenance team.
40 hours per week at £16.73 per hour. (8am to 4.30pm - Monday to Friday) All additional hours are paid at overtime rates .
