We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Assistant to be part of a hands on and fast paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have some mechanical & electrical maintenance experience or "handy work" in a similar type of position or has come from a trade background with some prior training.
There is no requirement to be fully trade qualified, however it would be advantageous.
Although direct experience is useful, this is a development role for someone looking to learn but that does have an understanding of repairs and maintenance.
Responsibilities
Assisting tradesman undertaking Mechanical & Electrical repairs and installation works
Undertaking minor repair works and general maintenance activities at the request of the Engineering Supervisors.
Carrying out routine planned preventative maintenance inspections
Liaising with Engineering Team Leaders regarding plant or equipment failures
Completing report sheets as necessary
Following planned maintenance schedules
Using all relevant tools and equipment within safety guidelines as necessary for the completion of works.
Undertaking any other duties appropriate to the grade
