We have a current opportunity for a Lubricant Sales Representative on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Rotterdam. For further information about this position please apply.

Developing the sales of lubricants and other product groups in the assortment in the assigned geographic area, maximizing the profitability according to the Commercial Policy of the Company. Provide first line technical advice to direct accounts with main focus on industrial lubricants, automotive, agricultural, marine and transport customers. Maintaining the relationship with existing customers of lubricants and special products, in order to best exploit the technical attributes of the product line and realize, in close collaboration with the Sales Manager and Back-office, all activities to support new business development.

Description of duties and responsibilities
Commercial:

  • Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with existing customers and prospects, generating new business for the Company.
  • Organize in-site visits to existing and potential customers, maximizing the Return on Time Investment in the geographic area of the Company through carefull planning, with timely and accurate usage of CRM.
  • Realize product presentations, negotiate and secure orders in line with the Company's commercial policy, fulfilling individual targets of volume and margin.
  • Propose and negotiate bonus/investment contracts to secure sales on a long term basis.
  • Provide a quick (timely) feedback on commercial and technical inquiries from customers, using when necessary the provided offering tool.
  • Provide inputs aiming to improve customer satisfaction.
  • Realize phone prospection calls using approved database in order to identify potential customers, retrieving key commercial information and forwarding data to the Sales Manager (via CRM/mail).
  • Monitor bonus/equipment contracts with customers, performing corrective commercial actions when necessary.
  • Interface with Marketing, Sales, FCA and Supply/Logistics when necessary to optimize the Sales performance and to develop new opportunities.
  • Draft the annual sales budget for the designated geographical area.
  • Keep record details of inquiries, comments and actions using CRM platform and any alternative system approved by the Company.
  • Assist the Front-office in field credit recovery tasks if necessary.
  • Provide management with oral and written reports on customers needs, problems, interests, competitors activities and potential for new products and services.
  • Progressively develop a technical knowledge on lubricants applications, in order to efficiently improve commercial efficiency.
  • Ensure a proper customer complaint management, coordinating actions with Sales manager.
  • Participate in trade shows, events and exhibitions planned by the Company.

Technical:

  • Advise on the appropriate products to be used in any application.
  • Support enquiries coming from Front-Office, Distributors and customers/prospects.
  • Provide basic diagnosis for lubrication related failure (e.g. bearing or gear) where lubricants quality or practices are in question.
  • Participate to company and third party supplier's technical training sessions.
  • Interact effectively with the technical advisor position in order to deepen any significant technical issue concerning the product portfolio


Personally assigned duties and responsibilities

  • Assure compliance to ISO quality certification
  • Report periodically to the Sales Manager
  • Identify opportunities of development and efficiency improvement

Specific Health Requirements
All necessary regulations with respect to work safety, data protection and occupational health have to be observed.

Requirement Profile

  • Strong commercial skills with technical background
  • Experience in a customer facing role
  • Good working knowledge and skills in using CRM systemsLanguage skills: Dutch mother-tongue and English at intermediate level. French is advantageous
  • Good communication and negotiation skills

  • Driver's license B
  • Living in the geographical area or willingness to relocate to this area
