Logistics Operative

£11/50 per hour for standard working week Mon-Thurs 08.05 to 15.45, Friday 08.05 to 12.05. Time and a half for weekday overtime, double time for weekend overtime. 6 months duration.

SC clearance will be required therefore you should either hold or satisfy requirement for this.

This is a varied role which will require you to receipt, manage, issue and dispatch material from small items to working at height with Mechanical Handling Equipment for heavy duty material, including hazardous and security classified items ready for shipment to various locations to meet customer requirements.

You will have relevant experience within a warehouse, logistics, distribution, stock controlled or similar environment, be an effective communicator with a good level of numeracy and a high attention to detail in all tasks undertaken.

You will also have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and well-developed interpersonal and team working skills.

An understanding of mechanical handling equipment and handling techniques, plus knowledge within COSHH & safe systems of work is also required for this role.
