My client, an oil & gas operating company are urgently recruiting a Lead Subsea Control Systems Engineer for a contract opportunity based in Celler, Germany.

Role overview:

The service holder is responsible, within the SPS Package of the project, for all activities related to the Subsea Production Control System (SPCS). The service holder acts as the Project technical authority for this discipline as well as organises, supervises, controls and coordinates the works relative to the SPCS.
The service holder reports to the SPS Package Manager, highlighting concerns encountered during the performance of his duties.
The service holder is also accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to HSSE rules & requirements and for implementing HSSE rules within his area of responsibility.
The work Scope includes Engineering, Procurement, Importation of goods and components, Fabrication of Subsea, Production Control System, Testing, Mechanical Completion, Preparation of all necessary documentation and handover.
The service holder ensures that any technical, procurement or resources bottleneck which could lead to schedule slippage are identified, and quality Assurance & Quality Control are properly managed.
The service holder shall ensure that Contractor is delivering the WORK in line with the relevant contract requirements (H3SE, quality, and schedule) and approved project procedures (ITP, FAT, EFAT, SIT, SRT…)
The service holder shall monitor Contractor's organization to ensure that adequate skills and experience are available and properly organized to carry out the work in line with the contracts requirements (H3SE, quality, schedule)
The service holder shall ensure that all engineering interfaces between the SPCS and other concerned disciplines or packages (XT, WH, IWOCS, SURF Umbilical, and FPSO ICSS) are dully dealt with and managed and shall take part to their management.
The service holder shall liaise continuously with experts in order to ensure adequacy and consistency of the technical solutions and more generally, of the development of the SPCS within the whole design of facilities.
The service holder will supervise the day to day activities of Contractor and witness the Contractor activities during the procurement, fabrication and Construction works carried out by contractor or subcontractors.
The service holder shall ensure the prompt issue of the dispatch dossier including all necessary certifications as well as the finalisation in timely manner of the manufacturing record book associated with deliverables
The service holder shall monitor, instruct, correct and report the working practices of Contractor as necessary.
The service holder reports to the SPS manager and Quality manager, highlighting work progress, forecast, quality issues, H3SE issues and concerns encountered during the performance of his duties.

Required skills and experience:

Extensive expereince within Quality Control in SPS equipment
Background in Control System Techniques/ Knowledge
Experience with contract technical requirements related to Subsea Production Control System activities
Experience working at for/at subsea manufacturing companies before moving to the client side.
