Lead Purchasing Services - Rotating Equipment

As a Global Category Manager support, its activity is as follows

Preparation for purchasing management:

  • Maintain economic, technological and competitive intelligence
  • Propose new suppliers and follow the current panel of suppliers (including the monitoring of supplier risks)
  • "Challenger" the prescribers in terms of needs and specifications in order to globalize the needs
  • Participate in the drafting and evolution of standard contracts and the improvement of the reference system

Purchasing Management (Transactional and Contracts):

  • Conduct all stages of the procurement process in compliance with the Clients Group purchasing policies, the Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct:
  • Participate in the drafting of dossiers pre-consultation and tendering on topics with high stakes - Manage the drafting of pre-consultation and tender documents on topics of limited scope (CA, scope,)
  • Lead directly or assist the sites in the negotiations of orders and contracts - Draft the contracts in compliance with procedures and operating rules
  • Monitor the portfolio of contracts and orders, assist the operational in the management of contracts
  • Assist the operational in any disputes related to the Legal, Insurance and Finance Department
  • Assist the Global CatMan in the management of multi-site files

Monitoring and improving the performance of purchases:

  • Monitor the purchasing portfolio (usage compliance, ...) and performance indicators
  • Check the correct application of the framework contracts negotiated by the Global Category Manager and Segment Leader
  • Prepare supplier performance reviews and participate in their evaluation
  • Inform and follow suppliers and specifies on outsourcing policy, safety, quality and environment
  • Ensure the identification of the information needed by the Global Category Manager and Segment Leader to achieve the quantitative and qualitative monitoring of the activity

In conclusion:

  • Independently ensures the proper execution of its purchasing actions in terms of quality, safety, environment, reliability and deadlines in order to optimize costs, within the general framework defined by the Global Category Manager
  • Results expected: reduced risks and costs; a panel of key suppliers optimized and diversified; purchasing acts that respect our rules and objectives HSE, SD, ethics
  • Coordinate and ensure the proper development of purchasing procedures

Technical Requirement:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Purchasing Services with preferable background from an analysis role
  • Analytical skills with excellent numerical and Excel abilities
  • Preferable experience working with oil & gas contracts (technical services contracts)
  • Knowledge of Rotating Equipments (Procurement and associated Services contracts)
  • Commercial mind-set
  • Strong written and oral communication skills - English. French is a plus.
  • Mobile. Travelling will be required.
