Our client is looking to add to their team, based in Barrow-In-Furness, on a major nuclear project.

Title: Lead Project Controller

Location: Barrow-In-Furness

Duration: 12 Months

Proposed Responsibilities

  • Controlling and monitoring the collection of cost, planning and commercial data
  • Production of various Programme reports, including a comprehensive suite of Project Controls information.
  • Challenging plans, forecasts and information provided by Project Managers to drive accurate reporting
  • Lead and Co-ordination of the SRP Risk & MR drawdown process
  • Lead and Co-ordination of the SRP Change Process using appropriate processes and toolsets
  • Using a number of tools (SAP, P6, Deltek Cobra, CEMAR, etc.) to gather and manage data to be used in Earned Value Management and forecasting.
  • Analysing data and communications with Project Management to provide clear commentary and narrative to accompany the reports.
  • Working alongside senior management to ensure the smooth flow of meaningful information to Directors, Customers and other stakeholders.
  • Provide project data and support to Project Managers with Project Workbooks & a highly successful and versatile tool for viewing and analysing information as well as inputting commentary and forecasts.

Desired Profile

  • A practitioner in the Project Controls field with an extensive range of skills and abilities.
  • Experienced in the production and presentation of Programme reports to senior management, providing clear analysis of data to support required action.
  • Strong interest in maximising the use of tools and processes to establish efficient and robust delivery of quality information to stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and intelligent, able to react quickly to changing requirements and ad hoc requests.
  • Extremely high level of skill in IT packages.
