We are looking for a Lead Process Engineer (Industrial Gases), based in Surrey.

You will be responsible for the regional execution and design of process gas plants and air separation plants. The process gas plants and related equipment are designed to produce ammonia, hydrogen, carbon monoxide, urea, helium and syngas blends. You will specifically support process gas plants and related multi-million USD projects, involving both high temperature and cryogenic processes. Therefore, you will support both an in-house design team or external engineering design companies.

As the Lead Process Engineer (Industrial Gases), You Will

  • Work leading a team of in-house process engineers for internal design work or work individually in the role of an owner's engineer overseeing work of external engineering companies.
  • Process Flow Diagram (PFD) development
  • Detailed equipment specifications for major equipment
  • Duty specifications of controls valves and relief valves
  • Develop and handle the projects P&ID's, functional logic tables, alarm and trip settings, critical safety tables and operating procedures/training manuals. Ensure thorough review of P&ID's developed by external companies and ensure good management of change is followed.

As the Lead Process Engineer (Industrial Gases), You Will Have the Following Education, Skills and Experience

  • A Bachelor or Master's degree (preferably in chemical engineering)
  • Be preferably a Chartered Engineer with the relevant institution
  • Have significant experience in leading process plant design (engineering experience in high temperature process gas plants and/or combustion processes is preferred)
