Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Lead / Principal Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:-
Responsible for the successful operation of the engineering function.
Senior engineering discipline specialist and is the recognised expert for the discipline. As technical authority, will provide independent oversight of projects.
Ensure the technical requirements of all activities are managed and delivered in accordance with business requirements.
Maintain awareness of, and control exposure to, operational and commercial risk relating to the engineering function.
Oversee and direct the technical work, ensuring service delivery, in accordance with client and company expectation, in a timely, accurate, safe and cost effective manner.
Responsible for developing and implementing policies, standards and procedures for the engineering technical work delivered by the function.
Responsible and accountable for planning and delivery of engineering technical activities.
Consult and negotiate with Clients regarding work specifications.
Optimise the utilisation of resources to ensure revenues and profitability are maximised.
Quality assure work performed by the engineering team ensuring compliance and alignment to all company policies and procedures.
Engage and communicate with other management to ensure they understand current and possible future engineering activities.
Ensure maintenance of effective client interfaces.

Qualifications / Experience:-
Degree (2.1) in Engineering or Naval Architecture
Experience of Mooring Design or review
Experience of Subsea installation
Substantial Engineering Experience
Broad Knowledge and Experience of Offshore Marine Operations
Senior Engineering/Managerial experience in O&G Marine or other process-related industry
Experienced in managing multiple faced paced engineering projects
Good planning and organisational skills
Effective/competent MS Office Suite User
High level of communication skills in both written and verbal
Experienced in Orcaflex/Romeo/Gmoor32
