We are looking for a Lead Geologist back-to-back for Iraq on a rotational basis (4/4).

  • Coordinate the generation of well proposals and data acquisition proposals as well as end of well reports for Siba gas and condensate reservoirs
  • Coordinate the subsurface operational support for the drilling activities with a high focus on safety, quality and costs and to ensure that all subsurface uncertainties are communicated in an appropriate manner to the drilling departments
  • Liaise with the Government and Joint Venture partners regarding sharing of technical studies and data and to obtain approvals for the new wells in timely fashion
  • Lead geoscience studies for the Siba field in a player-coach manner. These studies include but are not limited to:
  • Building static models
  1. a) reservoir development studies feeding into reservoir model updates
  2. b) field extension studies and leading to recommendations for appraisal drilling
  3. c) inventorying and ranking exploration opportunities in the Siba block and generating workplans to mature these opportunities
  4. d) engaging with other disciplines to communicate the geoscience related uncertainties
  5. e) coordinating the updating of the in place volumes for the block based on new well results
  6. f) coordinating seismic studies, both evaluation and reprocessing

g) providing geological support to management for A&D decisions.
