Are you a Lead EC&I Engineer with extensive Nuclear experience? Our client is looking to add to their team in Warrington.

Proposed Responsibilities

To lead and co-ordinate the EC&I delivery of multi-discipline, engineering design for the BEP project in accordance with agreed man hour budget, schedule and quality targets as defined in the project approved schedule and design quality plans. To ensure the delivery of discipline specific engineering designs for all BEP plant areas are compliant with the relevant legal requirements, Sellafield Ltd standards, European and British Standards, non-European.

Role and responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate their plant areas EC&I team in line with the project mission and delivery objectives.
  • Management and co-ordination of planned engineering design activities for their plant areas.
  • Ensure that the designs for their plant areas satisfy the specified functional requirements.
  • Plan, arrange and record the output of any design verification activities carried out for their plant areas, i.e. design reviews, constructability reviews, model reviews, assurance reviews, hazard identification studies.
  • Identify, define and manage design interfaces with the other plant Area Lead Engineers to ensure fully co-ordinated, clash-free, designs.
  • Delivering engineering designs for designated plant areas, in accordance with quality requirements defined in the relevant Design Quality and Verification Plan.
  • Delivering engineering designs for their respective plant areas, working within the approved plant area budget and scheduled completion dates.
  • Ensure their team works within the approved budget and scheduled completion dates for engineering design activities.
  • Provide weekly updates of engineering progress to the Project Controls team for their plant areas.
  • Check and approve engineering deliverables, where specified on the approved Design Quality and Verification Plan for their plant areas

Desired Profile

  • An experienced Engineering Manager or Lead Engineer with an EC&I background.
  • Extensive experience within energy sector specifically nuclear would be desireable, preferably on a Sellafield project.
  • Professional engineer, ideally chartered status.
  • Minimum Degree qualified
  • Working within a JV environment.
