Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Lead Business Development Engineer, based in Aberdeen.

Main Duties:
Analyse potential and existing plant design in order to identify business opportunities.
Work with the asset owners and the site teams to identify business development opportunities
Appraise and prioritise development opportunities.
Carry out high level screening studies and preliminary assessments of project opportunities which could provide value to the owner and their shippers. This may involve undertaking initial HYSYS simulation runs.
Initiate technical studies and economic evaluations necessary for these opportunities.
Gather relevant data and prepare study basis of design and scopes of work as required.
Coordinate multi-disciplinary studies involving different parts of the organisation.
Develop a project stage gate process, ranging from project identification to at least FEED.
Prepare documentation to enable asset managers and the asset owner to authorise expenditure on project development.
Initiate and supervise third party technical/engineering studies as required.
Prepare reports and make presentations on progress to senior managers and asset owners.
Handover successful developments to the project team or site asset teams for implementation, whilst continuing to provide technical support.
Assist management in resourcing, budgeting, and problem solving activities associated with the development opportunities.
Supporting the Executive Operations Director in developing an offshore business.

Minimum Requirements:
Degree in chemical engineering or similar
Engineering or operations Experience in the midstream gas sector.
Conducting multi-disciplinary engineering & asset studies.
Conducting economic evaluations.
Able to run HYSYS simulations for assets and manage third parties to do so.
Large scale project contribution and accountability.
Building internal & external working relationships with stakeholders and clients.
Ability to work independently with low level of supervision
Skilled in reporting and presenting to senior managers.
Multiple data sourcing, analysis and interpretation.
