A senior staff leadership position has been presented to the market working within an Exploration Operating Oil Company that has significant asset developments in Kenya.
The Land Access and Resettlement Manager - position will support the identification and management of all Development-related land access and resettlement related risks. The position will provide technical leadership to support effective implementation of Development phase Land Access Framework in Kenya and the development of associated Resettlement Action Plans (RAPs) and Livelihood Restoration Plans (LRPs). The Land Access and Resettlement Manager will guide implementation of RAPs and LRPs, supported by RAP/LRP project manager(s) and third-party organisations as required. The role will support both upstream and midstream activities in Kenya.
Understanding and implementation experience of best practice/standards in the area of Land Access and Resettlement and Social Performance more broadly, with particular reference to IFC Performance Standard 5 and Performance Standard 7.
Experience managing land access and resettlement in the context of both traditional, customary land rights (including communal land rights) and formal legal land titles.
Experience of conducting household surveys, asset inventories, livelihood assessments and land-related community engagement programmes.
Experience engaging with Project teams to effectively manage land access and resettlement risks and impacts in support of project delivery, to time and budget.
