Position Title: Lab Technician

Position Responsibilities: Accountabilities
* Execute exploratory experiments related to synthesis of novel catalytic materials, in a safe and effective manner as per appropriate safety procedures.
* Ensure high reliability of experimental data, and produce a report with conclusions and recommendations
* Be the owner for all equipments in the relevant area; responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of equipments and all related documentation
* Timely delivery of validated data/reports to project leader.
Special Challenges
* Working independently with minimum guidance from project leader and commitment for delivery of work on time.
* Good team working skills.
* Seamless co-operation with colleagues across organisational boundaries such as catalyst and analytical teams.

Position Requirements: * Bachelor's/Master's degree in Chemistry (Organic or Inorganic or materials science ) with more than 3 years industrial experience
* Laboratory experience with catalyst synthesis & characterization is a very strong asset for the role
* Hands on materials synthesis experience via solid-state, sol-gel or co-precipitation routes. Prior experience in the synthesis of nanomaterials will be a plus
* Exposure to inorganic materials characterization skills - such as XRD for phase identification, BET surface area measurements
* Good interpersonal communication and team-working skills
* Meticulous working attitude to ensure precision of results and safe working in a area of catalyst synthesis & characterization.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Computer skills with strong proficiency in Microsoft office is preferable
