Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Knowledge Management Specialist, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:
* Support knowledge management, learning and social learning for the company, acting as an internal consultant to provide knowledge-sharing solutions and strategies, working directly with assigned business units to help identify their dynamic knowledge-sharing and collaboration needs.
* Provide support for the establishment and nurturing of networks in the company's community of practice platform:
* Work with network leadership teams and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify knowledge-sharing needs and priorities and propose strategies to meet them, and to evaluate network health and recommend improvements.
* Share experiences across networks on innovative approaches in knowledge sharing, including identification and preparation of success stories, including Tip of the Week.
* Migrate content from pre-existing communities that are moving to platform.
* Provide day-to-day support for platform, including end-user support and training, troubleshooting, etc.
* Promote the growth and adoption of platform, selling the value using a variety of methods, including demonstrations, one-on-one guidance, video recordings, presentations and articles in various communications channels.
* Support the growth and adoption of The Well, the company's enterprise wiki through:
* Working with networks to help them understand and utilize the wiki in conjunction with their community of practice.
* Migration of content in other areas and formats.
* Coaching business units on how to identify and create their own knowledge solutions and providing training.
* Act as the Product Manager for Surveys:
* Liaise with IDS on the license for the platform and stay abreast of new features being released.
* Respond to requests and creating new surveys to meet knowledge-gathering needs.
* Consult with and train employees to create their own surveys via Microsoft Forms
* Maintain the survey best practices and methodology

Experience & Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Knowledge Management, Education, English, Journalism, Public Relations, Library Sciences, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
* Experience in a variety of business roles, including knowledge management or learning. (Experience with knowledge management or learning as a portion of a previous job will be considered; i.e., someone in a different department who utilizes KM and/or learning for their business needs and evangelizes the use of the platforms and strategies to others.)
* The ability to lead multiple projects with competing priorities worldwide.
* Competency and experience with a variety of knowledge management, social learning and crowd-sourcing platforms and technologies and the best practices that inform strategies for their use.
* A demonstrated history of translating strategic and tactical business needs into tangible KM, social learning, collaboration or communications solutions.
