Job description

We are seeking an experienced Joint Venture Auditor for our Operator client based in Aberdeen. This will be an initial 6 month contract based in Aberdeen. This position can be worked remotely (within the UK) but with occasional visits to the Aberdeen office.

To lead audit on non operated assets.

The role involves ability to understand complex commercial agreements notably on how costs are shared between multiple owner groups, together with more standard audit activity of ensuring costs charged to the joint ventures are in accordance with the Joint Operating Agreement and the associated supplier contracts. Certain agreements involve a more complex profit share, and the auditor will be expected to coordinate with Company's Hydrocarbon Value Realisation (HVR) team on the audit of any revenue income being audited.

The auditor will be responsible for coordinating the planning of the audit with the Operator, selecting samples to test, undertaking the fieldwork and preparing the report of same in accordance with SOAP2.

The audits will likely be undertaken remotely, however it is possible that certain fieldwork and planning may be undertaken either at the Operator's or Company's premises in Aberdeen
Knowledge of upstream accounting and JV audit process required
