The IT Senior Infrastructure Architect will oversee design, implementation and operation of information systems and solutions to support the enterprise infrastructure of the division. The IT Senior Infrastructure Architect will ensure that all systems are working at optimal levels and support the development of new technologies and system requirements. The successful candidate will lead strategical and/or corporate IT projects and initiatives may require guidance and management of other engineers and problems, incident resolution and coordination skills.

Performs across varied technology domains such as Infrastructure, Integration and Security as well as Business Applications and Data Management;

Provides technical solutions, determines high and low-level design direction, provide software, hardware or process recommendations for complex technical issues;

Works within a team of five Infrastructure Engineers in charge of architecture, deployment and support;

Prioritises incident and problems resolution and coordination, management (including resources guidance);

Provides hands on business as usual support to the assigned environment;

Analyses existing systems to ensure they offer adequate security and are effectively meeting the needs of the organization;

Constantly review the existing infrastructure and IT solutions, initiate improvement recommendations;

Recommends alternative technologies or improvements to enhance IT solutions and support organizational goals;

Develops and documents the proposed technical design for the integration and implementation of any new software, hardware or processes;

Provides regular feedback to leadership teams and incorporates this information into future integration plans;

Has proven experience in designing, integrating and managing complex infrastructure solutions;

Understand complex IT systems and solutions, translate it into clear technical specifications and guidelines

English speaker a must. Italian and any other European language is an advantage;

Formal qualifications and relevant experience in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) and PRINCE2;

Must have 5+ years' experience in a 3rd line technical role with proven hands-on experience of problem resolution and troubleshooting;

At least 2 years' experience in an Infrastructure Architect position;

Knowledge of Microsoft Server 2012/16, MS Exchange 2013/16, Office 365 and Active Directory, Azure knowledge is a plus;

Knowledge of VMware Virtualization (ESX, VSAN, Horizon, SDN) Citrix server solutions and client-server architecture;

Knowledge of MS IIS, DNS, GPO, DFS and Use of MS VISIO, MS PROJECT;

Technical Network and Datacentre, Virtualization Design ability, Cloud knowledge is a plus;

Experience in planning and developing support processes;

Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

Able to travel 40% of the time.
