OrionGroup are looking for an IT Project Engineer for our multinational medical devices client based in northern Scotland on an initial 12-month contract.

Role Outline

Uses expert knowledge of the Maximo, to ensure the system is effectively developed and deployed to meet the business needs. Will be the primary lead in the development and deployment of a new MAXIMO system and then ongoing improvement initiatives. Develops system and user requirements and ensures compliant deployment of the system and upgrades. Provides specialist support to system administrators across the site facilitating problem solving and system development. Works in close collaboration with reliability engineers across the site to deliver system functionality which supports our asset management approach and drives cost improvements. Ensures the system is being used in a compliant manner through creation of training materials, WI's and SOP's as well as developing system KPI's and metrics.

Responsibilities of the role:

* To Lead the implementation of a new instance of Maximo. Partner with existing business
partners and experienced Maximo users to develop requirements and implement a new
version of Maximo
* To lead User Acceptance Testing of MAXIMO software upgrades and provide site acceptance
for the software delivery
* To specify new system requirements, recognising the impact of modifications to all Users
across the site
* Providing service for developing functional requirements, procedures and protocols
* To develop and deploy User training documentation
* Defining and executing changes within the MAXIMO platform to improve reliability and
drive cost improvements

Desired Skills/Experience of the successful candidate


* Experience in configuration, design, development, and support of Maximo v.7.6. The same
experience in 7.5 is also highly valued.
* Experience with the development and implementation of Maximo mobile solutions, such as
Maximo Anywhere.
* Knowledge of system development lifecycle process, documentation, and requirements.
* Experience in supporting asset management best practices definition and implementation
* IT skills would include, SQL, Maximo, SaaS experience.
* Desirable would be experience of working in a regulated environment.
* Liaise with IT infrastructure and support teams to ensure that proposed project solutions
are technically sound and that they can be accommodated within the infrastructure and
support framework.
* Lead project resources and the business to ensure that delivered projects are of a high
quality and that delivered products have very good sustainability
