Our client is currently recruiting for the position of IT Manager, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities will include:
Identify/ capture local business requirements and develop overview of local IT/ IS demand.
Work with BIS to translate business strategy from local context and align with BIS services
Develop and maintain local IS plan and coordinate with BIS Group
Ensure compliance at local level with BIS with regards processes, guidelines and procedures.
Communicate regularly with the Leadership, Steering Committees and other stakeholders to ensure IS functionality meets operational needs and to develop ongoing strategic & project plans.
Promote robust and strong interface with BIS
Work closely with the Sponsors, partner teams, and BIS to deploy strategic & practical solutions through existing and/or new systems technology, and will be responsible for the development, testing and ongoing support of multiple applications and business processes.
Work closely with HR and Resource Manager to satisfy on-boarding of new employees and potential roles both domestically and internationally.
Provide oversight for IS vendor solutions including performance monitoring and vendor relationship management. Actively build strategic partnerships with Vendors to deliver business capabilities where applicable.
Contract owner for third party supplier IS/IT and other data management contracts

Qualifications /Experience
Recognised relevant qualification or extensive equivalent experience.
Experience in Upstream E&P
ITIL certification would be preferred
Experience in IT/IS Management
Demonstrable E&P experience, preferably within the operating environment
Previous experience and demonstrable ability to reliably manage the IS services required for an enterprise sized organisation.
Day-to-day supervision of service delivery and supplier management as well as management of SLAs with the internal corporate service provider
Good awareness and understanding of legislation, compliance and best practice that are relevant to IS in the operating environment is essential
High level problem solving and analytical skills and ability to articulate a clear conclusions and recommendations
Solid experience in supporting a sizeable end-user community
