Our client is a heavy Manufacturing company based near Ayrshire. An exciting Interim role has come to market for an experienced Commodity Manager.

Key duties & responsibilities will include;

The Theatre Commodity Manager III has responsibility for the on-going management of Global and Regional suppliers with a purchase spend of circa $20m to $40. This will include:

  • Maintenance and support of Global and/or Regional Sourcing Strategies
  • Negotiation of pricing and terms that meet HYG's annual objectives
  • Responsibility for managing the business relationships between HYG and assigned suppliers, including resolution of escalated quality and delivery issues
  • Implementation of Global Procurement programmes, including: Annual Cost Reviews, Annual Process Reviews, Annual Scorecards
  • Review Capacities and support elimination of shortages issues within areas of responsibility
  • Providing support concerning commercial issues for new product development projects
  • Participation in Global Sourcing Strategies
  • Capability and risk assessment of assigned suppliers

Required skills & experience:

  • Minimum degree qualified in engineering or business related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' procurement or related experience in a commercial environment
  • Broad technical understanding of major lift truck systems and components
  • Proven skills in purchasing, negotiation and problem resolution
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Relentless focus on excellence and continuous improvement
  • Must be capable of working in a highly matrix reporting environment

What's of Offer;

  • 24-month contract
  • Basic salary - up to £35,500 (dependant on experience)
