An existing opportunity has to come to market with a leading Healthcare company, based in the North West of England. My client is seeking an immediately available, experienced, Interim Operations Manager to assist and manage the launch of a new warehouse site.

You will be reporting into the General Manager and play a critical role in delivering a successful operation. You will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse operatives, team leaders and shift managers on a daily basis.

The Operations Manager will need to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, while delivering all key performance indicators. You will need to co-ordinate the shift managers to deliver operational excellence for safety, quality and efficiency on a daily basis, whilst staying focused on the needs of clients and all other key stakeholders. Additionally, you will need to drive continuous improvement activities and long term plans to deliver measurable change within the operation.

The Operations Manager will be required to work with the wider business to ensure the successful implantation of new client business. You will also have direct interaction with several clients to further develop relationships, understand the client's needs and continuously improve the client experience.

You will require the following;

  • 3+ years' experience in managing/leading teams and working in fast moving environments.
  • Ability to effectively and purposefully analyse data.
  • Delivering and leading process change.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in team environment.
  • Experience in managing large teams.
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
  • Experience of using Lean Principles to drive change
  • Degree Qualification
  • Logistics 3PL experience
  • Six Sigma experience
