An existing opportunity has to come to the Birmingham market for an Interim HR Consultant looking for an immediate start.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To work in partnership with the UK HR Team, International HR teams and CoE's to deliver HR interventions and projects associated with the programme of work and/or our clients People Plan.
  • Coach and support leaders in the development of their people plan, by providing effective advice whilst holding leaders accountable for effective leadership of their people.
    Work with MI to produce and deliver people insights (Resourcing, Performance & Talent) to drive action.
  • Deliver Organisation design and development activity including; restructures, resource planning, succession planning, cultural change & engagement.
  • Contribute external insights to encourage the introduction of new working practices, Manage people processes effectively, and in compliance with legislation, policy, processes, and contractual agreements.
  • Support consultation with Trade Unions and Business Forums within business areas of responsibility.
  • Support the implementation of Global HR initiatives, supporting leaders through change whilst handing and resolving capability issues.
  • Advise Leaders on principles of Employment law and consultation requirements.
    Steer and support standard HR processes across units, including the use of appropriate information channels such as HR Online.
  • Support cross-department, cross-region and cross-unit HR projects.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Essential
    Proven experience of delivering HR Change activities and HR projects (Organisational Design & Development, TUPE's, Restructures & redundancy programmes etc).
  • Excellent HR knowledge and demonstrable experience of delivering an end-to-end generalist HR service (including Employee Relations, Reward, L&D & Talent Management)
  • Proven experience of stakeholder management at all levels including coaching leadership teams.
  • Interpret MI in order to identify trends and work with management to implement changes to working practice.
  • Degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • Solid understanding of the Business and the Industry.
  • Highly professional communication skills with the ability to continuously look for improvements and inspire others.
  • Relevant knowledge of UK Employment Law and Consultation requirements
  • Proactive attitude, coupled with the ability to focus and prioritise in high workload periods.

  • Fully qualified CIPD member.
  • Commercial knowledge and business acumen.
  • Robust understanding and discipline about processes and activity splits, e.g. between functional units and regional units.
  • Experience of thinking strategically and developing people plans (either shorter-term tactical, or longer-term strategic)
