Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Instrument and Control Engineer, based Offshore.

Responsibilities will include:
Provide safety leadership enforcing the Client's Health, Safety and Environmental policies, procedures, and objectives to ensure that I and C designs are inherently safer, risks are reduced, and HSE requirements are satisfied.
Provide leadership, along with the Client's Technical Authority, for the overall instrument and control design efforts.
Develop instrument design practices and philosophies including overall control schemes and shutdown philosophies.
Ensure that appropriate design specifications and standards are being used in the design process.
Ensure project design is consistent with the client's integrity management standard use of Guidance on Certification and industry standards.
Review and provide comments on instrumentation and control designs.
Review P&ID's, loop drawings, instrument specifications, and instrument selection.
Provide safe, operable, and efficient equipment designs,
Evaluate and select vendors and equipment.
Identify integration and infrastructure issues.
Provide consultation and problem resolution.
Assist with performance tests and problem resolution.
Assist in checkout, commissioning, and start-up.
Actively participate in fabrication shop visits.
Assist with the development of operation procedures and training.
Communicate and coordinate with Project Engineers and Project Leads.
Monitor performance of Engineering Contractor discipline engineers and report deviations from acceptable performance.
Coordinate work efforts with the Technical Authority.

Education
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
Masters Degree beneficial

Contract position - 3 on / 3 off rotation
