One of our major clients have an excellent opportunity to join the project team as an Information Management Lead on a new high profile LNG project based in Kitimat, British Columbia.

This role will be based between project office in Calgary, the yard in Yokohama (Japan) and the actual project site in Kitimat.


- Contribute to a safe, quality, and efficient client operating environment during project execution and asset operations through delivery of the quality and reliable Information Asset to enable sustainable project and asset performance

- Focal and champion of leveraging the client engineering data through to the Asset to enable quality and efficient processes and data supporting Operations and Maintenance (O&M)

- Provide IM expertise in support of non-Plant sub-projects including IM team contributions to deliver overall value as a senior member of the IM team.

- Interface with IM Team and Asset Team to ensure O&M specifications and application build are aligned with Plant Project Specifications and can support the ongoing Project Asset deliverables (e.g. ensuring the Maintenance Management System Build, adheres to established Numbering, Classifications and Data specifications, Spare Parts Interchangeability Records, etc.) to be delivered by Operations and Maintenance

- Facilitate the interface and mapping definitions between the IM applications (SPO/SPF, etc.) and O&M applications (SAP, E-SPIR, etc.) and deliver as part of broader IMIT and O&M teams in support of deployment

- Simplify requirements for O&M delivery

- Identify and deliver any additional post-handover Asset requirements

- Maintaining both project / operations standards and procedures; identify and elevating discrepancies

- Apply client's standards to deliver Asset Information requirements to the client Project and Operations teams

- Support the overall IM team quality delivery and assurance (documents, data, process) to the Asset team in terms of consistency, completeness and correctness

- Facilitate the ongoing alignment between the IM Project team and Asset team (O&M and future IM)

- Support IM team in delivery of other IM and Engineering application handovers as required.

Skills & Requirements:

- Substantial / Extensive experience in Asset Information Management in Greenfield and/or Brownfield projects

- Previous experience of working in an Asset O&M team will be a distinct advantage

- Previous experience of Operations Readiness & Assurance activities including computerized maintenance and management system build and of managing as-built data and documents

- Experience working with Engineering Data Warehouse (EDW) systems

- Experience working with SmartPlant Foundation as a document and/or data management tool

- Sound understanding of the Project and Maintenance Engineering environment and awareness of the associated business processes

- Good working knowledge of the Project Data Control and relevant processes, familiar with data-modeling methodology

- Sound understanding on the IM SoW and Information Specification, DEP Engineering Information Specification (EIS) and the related documents

- Experience with (at least some) engineering and asset applications in terms of data content, for example E-Spir, S3D, SPPID, SPEL, SPI, SAP/PM

- Working knowledge of (at least some) project reporting software such as Crystal, Business Objects, MS Access, Excel, and PowerBI.

- University degree in Engineering, Science or Information Technology or equivalent

- 7+ years' experience working on a Major Capital projects and Asset IM related roles

- Ability to work flex hours to accommodate various locations.
