Location: Houston, TX (with some travel to Ingleside, Milan, and Mozambique sites)

About the Company:

Our client is a leading player in the Oil & Energy sector, dedicated to delivering innovative solutions for subsea production and control systems. We are currently seeking an experienced ICSS Interface Integration Test Lead to join our team on a contract basis.



Specific Position Summary (Examine attentively):

As the ICSS Interface Integration Test Lead, you will be based at our Upstream Project Office in Houston, USA, reporting to the CPI Technical Manager.
Your primary responsibility will be to represent the Field Operations during the integration and commissioning program of the subsea control system within the main LNG plant Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS).


This role involves coordinating and overseeing all testing phases conducted at various contractor premises and ensuring the successful integration of subsea controls within the ICSS. You will work closely with package leaders and quality teams to meet technical requirements and specifications.

  • The subsea field will be developed via 18-off subsea wells (7" Vertical Subsea Xmas Trees), 7-off 4-slot production manifolds with associated foundations, one MEG manifold, 36-off 8" flexible jumpers, 3-off 22" trunk lines (approximately 120km total length), 1-off 6" and 1-off 8" MEG lines (approximately 40km length each), 18-off 10" in-field flowlines (825 Alloy clad), 4" in-field MEG lines, associated ILTs and FLETs for all pipelines and flowlines, 25-off Subsea Control Modules for X-mas Trees and manifolds, 4-off Subsea Routers Modules, 4-off onshore umbilicals (around 16km total length, 2-off main tie-back umbilicals (approximately 75km total length), 5-off in-field umbilicals (approximately 31km total length), 12-off UTA assemblies + electro hydraulic flying leads, rigid jumpers and spools (16" and 22"). Controls, MEG/MeOH and Chemical injection will be provided via two 600 t Onshore Subsea Support Equipment Modules (OSSEM)

  • The job holder is responsible for the follow-up of the subsea control integration within the onshore plant Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS). He/she shall ensure that operational requirements and specifications are fulfilled throughout the integration program. The job holder will cover testin phase Of each individual packages, integration program and testing in respective contractor premises (FAT, eFAT, SIT, etc.) and on site up t commissioning and start-up phase.


Responsibilities:

  • Define and finalize the interface between the Subsea Control System and the Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) in collaboration with the CPI team.
  • Ensure integrated testing programs with Onshore & Upstream Contractors are conducted according to specifications and Interface Agreements.
  • Follow-up on all testing phases of the integrated control system by upstream Contractors within the ICSS.
  • Monitor the development of the Overall Control of Well and Trunkline (OCWT) within the ICSS, ensuring its readiness for initial start-up.
  • Capture and fulfill subsea operating principles, functional requirements, and operational needs during tests and integration programs.
  • Identify focus areas and resolve technical issues, proposing relevant improvements aligned with the subsea operating strategy.
  • Foster seamless communication between Operations Team and CPY project teams.
  • Record and manage all testing activities and potential punch lists in the selected completion system.
  • Ensure proper handover systems between stakeholders and facilitate the closure of punch list items.
  • Develop and deliver relevant trainings to subsea engineers and operating personnel.
  • Provide assistance with Commissioning and Start-up activities on-site, troubleshooting and optimizing subsea production and control.


Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Oil and Gas offshore operations.
  • 5 or more years of experience in testing & control system positions for Subsea equipment.
  • Proficiency in subsea control systems (FMC) and integration in ICSS System (Schneider).
  • Familiarity with subsea production operations, associated equipment, and related technical risks.
  • Strong supervisory experience with contractors.
  • Hands-on experience with Overall Control of Well and Riser (OCWR) system implementation.
  • Experience in deepwater gas fields and continuous MEG hydrate inhibition operations.


Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of Control Systems and Subsea Engineering.
  • Understanding of Field Operations and Offshore Oil & Gas Operations.
  • Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and collaborate effectively.
  • Flexibility to travel to various locations as required.
