Our client is currently recruiting for the position of HSSE Advisor, based in Aberdeen.

Responsibilities:

Provision of HS&E related information, advice, coaching and training of occupational HSE matters.

Co-ordinate Audits.

Hazard management.

HS&E System's monitoring,

Maintenance, review & development.

Incident investigation with Root Cause Analysis (RCA) facilitation.

Provide advice and support on HS & E matters to the TAR team and the wider workforce.

Proactively and systematically monitor site activities to help ensure compliance with the Campaign HSSE Strategy/Plan and HSSE policies, procedures and standards.

Champions awareness of Life Saving Rules and behavioural expectations.

Supports delivering of HSE tasks and deliverables as part of TAR planning.

Support risk assessments, COSHH assessments manual handling assessments etc.

Support actions, and focus regarding implementation of the Campaign HSSE Strategy.

Support platform offshore team with regard to Hazard Management Programs - e.g. Dropped Objects, Slips, Trips & Falls, Lighting,

Ergonomics, Manual Handling, Hand & Finger Protection and Leak & Spill Prevention.

Support platform operation with Gas testing, Benzene testing, Face fit testing, Manual handling assessment, PUWER support (GOC sign off & Temporary equipment sign-off), HAVS support and permi risk assessment

Supports and works with the core HSSE advisor regarding the implementation of the Audit Programme

Support Site Management in ensuring that audit recommendations relating to HS&E matters are acted upon and closed out appropriately.

Support offshore Management in the investigation, reporting and analysis of incidents, ensuring all incidents are reported

Provide expertise on Root Cause and Human Factor analyses Support implementation of lessons learned:

Support to dissemination of lessons learned from investigation and analysis

Support to confirmation of ongoing application of lessons learned from above

Implementation of lessons from such Safety and Environmental Alerts

Dissemination of HSE-related information from professional bodies, industry and BG sources

Track dissemination of alerts and engagement with teams

Monitor progress and implementation of corrective actions arising from related Incident reports.

Work with platform core advisor to monitor implementation of Behavioural Safety system, identify and report on trends and improvement needs. Perform Proactive daily worksite inspections agreeing improvements and promoting safe working environment.

Provide HSSE coaching and advice to supervision and workforce

Attend Tool Box Talks to ensure good quality and workforce interaction.

Participate in the weekly offshore workforce HSSE meetings and TOFS

Where required support the platform induction process

Undertake other HS&E functional appointments within their competence as identified by the OIM or Campaign Construction Manager

Conduct verbal daily handover with night/day shift. Compile a written end of trip handover report.

Experience and Qualifications:

Requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field and/or relevant experience in applying the discipline skill to oil and gas projects.

Technical assurance review is required for the majority of the work products.

Has an understanding of how the particular discipline interfaces / integrates with the overall project work scope.
