Job description

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of HSEQ Manager. This is an immediate requirement and will be Aberdeen based, initially on a contract basis 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities:
* Maintenance of the Business Management System (BMS), including VPU HSE Cases, written schemes etc
* Provide HSEQ support and reports to Senior, Project and Offshore Management
* Investigate incidents, non-conformances and undesired events
* Audit the operation of the BMS and other systems
* Designated role in the company Crisis Response System
* If required, fulfil the role of the company Designated Person Ashore and Company Security Officer

Experience & Qualifications:
* Chartered Institute Member, or equivalent
* Offshore, Survival, Medical and Offshore Basic Training
* Certified ISM and ISO Auditor
* Root Cause Analysis Training
* OIM Legislation Course
* Emergency Response Training
* MCGA Qualified Company Security Officer
* Relevant generalist experience in HSSEQ, including as an HSEQ Manager.
* Experience in dealing with complex major hazard industry worksites involving multiple stakeholders
* Budget management experience
* Marine/Oil and Gas Industry Sector experience
* Production Installation HSE Case experience
* SharePoint based Management System Experience
* Up-to-date knowledge of global offshore HSSE Law and its application
* Up-to-date knowledge of UK HSSE Law and its application
* Up-to-date knowledge of global security threats
* IT based HSSEQ systems
* HSSEQ Competence Assurance
* Behavioural Based Safety Systems
* Excellent communication skills: both oral and written with evidence of the ability to communicate in written
* reports and via email with accurate spelling and grammatically correct English
* Ability to understand different styles of communication
* Effectively communicates difficult messages
* Active questioning and listening skills
* Ability to present in front of large audiences
* Proficient IT skills: Ability to use Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook - Intermediate
* level for all
* Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
* Ability to think logically and methodically
