KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support development and rollout of asset risk identification, assessment and management Provide assurance that Asset HSE Management Systems effectively cover relevant 'verifiable outcomes' embedded in corporate HSEC policies. Support development and maintenance of Asset HSE Management Systems

Provide HSEC input and support to project and technical design activity e.g. design Safety reviews, PHA's, MoC, ESIAs, licensing, etc

Collate, quality assure and report on asset sustainability performance

Act as specialist incident investigation resource and coordinate asset investigation and reporting

Support asset HSEC capability through coaching and mentoring of local HSEC personnel

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Engineering or Science Degree

Accreditation with a relevant professional body

15+ year industry experience - preferably working in terminal/downstream operations and project environments

Experience of working in emerging cultures, particularly in Africa

SKILL SETS

An experienced HSEC practitioner is required with:

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of people both at the front line and in a corporate environment at a senior level

Sufficient maturity to be able to recognise when to assure & manage v's when a technical

contribution is required.

Demonstrable and visible HSEC leadership qualities and ability to proactively contribute to and influence HSEC performance

Strong verbal communication and written skills.

And with a detailed working knowledge of:

Risk Identification and Management Systems

HSE Management Systems

Process & Design Safety

Contractor Management

Sustainability data & information reporting systems

Incident Investigation

Assurance & Auditing

Some background and experience in environmental & social/community management would be a benefit.
