Our Client is a long established engineering and fabrication business serving a worldwide client base in a variety of industries including oil & gas and distillation.

Due to continued expansion they are currently looking to recruit a HSE Manager, based in the Moray area of Scotland.

This is a senior role within the fast growing organisation and the successful candidate must have a proven track record within an engineering / oil & gas environment.

As part of the senior leadership team the HSE Manager will lead compliance with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental requirements including industry specific legislation and consents, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 1400:2015 standards for all Group companies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Successfully managing the HSE team, delegate work activities and responsibilities to deliver specific objectives
  • Development and execution of Health, Safety and Environmental plans and strategies
  • Managing Business Management Systems to ensure legislation compliance and maintenance of ISO certification
  • Liaison with Senior Management and relevant regulatory bodies
  • Managing HSE training and Occupational Health requirements within the business
  • Developing audit plans, carrying out audits and managing actions allocated resulting from findings investigations
  • Carrying out accident and incident cause analysis and managing the completion of resulting actions

Skills/ Experience:

  • 10 years industry experience
  • Management of HSE Business management systems in line with ISO standards
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages


  • Degree or equivalent educated
  • Recognised Health and Safety qualification
  • Lead auditor
