HR Manager

An exciting opportunity to join an International Client within the Energy Industry based in their central London Corporate Office.

Reporting into the Head of HR & Reward this is a great opportunity to join a very high performing and well respected HR team in a well-known brand.

The role:

  • To operate as part of the Group HR leadership, with primary responsibility across 2 Business Units based in London, but with key touch points internationally, primarily South America and Central America.
  • To provide key operational guidance to the wider management teams, being able to coach on HR issues and scenarios and confidently challenge.
  • Lead on ER in terms of when incidents arise to manage these with common sense and real understanding of issues rather than just following regulatory processes without question
  • Have a solution focused style, and be able to operate within an autonomous self-sufficient environment to lead and direct on key projects and identify further process improvements
  • Provide a continuous focus to build a diverse workforce with an inclusive culture and feel. Have the ability to analyse the related performance cycle and react accordingly with the wider HR teams and employees
  • Have key responsibility for all HR related corporate governance activities including HR risks and audits directing and supporting direct HR reports to co-ordinate these activities.
  • Chair the UK Policy Council, and the HR Risk Council
  • Have overview of the HR Business Management system, and contribute to the Corporate Responsibility Report.

The person:

  • Ideally educated to a degree level, and CIPD qualification at level 7
  • Demonstrable career history within a FTSE 100-250 business within complex multi-faceted international organisations
  • International experience ideally having brought new country teams into a business
  • Strong ER knowledge and understanding of dealing with various scenarios and challenges within this field
  • High degree of accuracy in all aspects of the HR role- the current HR team is highly efficient and renowned for their accuracy
  • Solution driven, confident in contributing ideas and challenging processes and policies as appropriate.
  • A natural coach, and proven ability to develop own direct reports, as well as wider operational teams
  • Project Management experience would be highly desirable
