Orion Group Life Sciences have an exciting opportunity for a HR Leader for our Multinational Pharmaceutical client based in the Berkshire area on an initial 3-month contract.


Job Purpose

The role has a meaningful role to play in actively partnering with business leaders to drive the talent agenda to enable business results through Coaching, Talent Management, Organizational Design, Change Management, and Business Partnering. They will address complex organizational challenges by providing HR leadership in support of local business goals, enterprise and sector HR strategies. They will collaborate with the HR Team to implement the HR Strategy for each client organization.


Main Responsibilities of the role

  • Support creation and deployment of the HR agenda for the business within a country, aligned with business, HR and shared services strategies
  • Use data and analytics combined with qualitative and experience led insights to shape strategies in partnership with business leaders
  • Partner with leaders to support and define the cultural, engagement and change initiatives and implementation plans
  • Deploy HR policies with leaders to drive the achievement of strategic objectives in the following areas: organizational design, talent planning, career management, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Provide ongoing and targeted coaching support to leaders
  • Play a consultative role in employee communication in change initiatives within client groups
  • Own and deliver key projects for the Consumer Business and/or UKI cross-sector organisations
  • Partner with client groups to develop and deliver appropriate strategies to strengthen the organization
  • Contribute to development and execution of the Sector Talent Strategy in partnership with leaders
  • Builds partnership to translate ideas for change into innovative change efforts, including developing detailed change plans, identifying key stakeholders, and ensuring the availability of resources

Desired Experience and Background of the successful candidate

  • Preferably educated to degree level or above
  • Preferred CIPD qualification
  • Fluency in English is a requirement
  • Successful track record at a professional level
  • Enthusiastic team member with a strong drive to build a positive work environment
  • Experience manipulating and using data to influence your business leaders
  • Experience planning and implementing projects
  • Relationship management, coaching and collaboration skills
  • Embodies strong interpersonal, consultative and facilitation skills
  • Ability to understand and integrate internal and external business drivers to drive talent outcomes for the business
  • Experience with innovative change efforts, including implementing detailed change management plans
  • Experience supporting multiple business functions and working in various industries
