Job Title: HR Business Partner

Location: Doncaster, UK.

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 basic salary DOE plus benefits package.

Contract: Permanent

Orion Group's client is a market leader in their field. With multiple sites across the UK, our client operates in a fast-paced environment and as a result, they are now looking to a recruit a Human Resources Business Partner, based at the Doncaster site.

About the role:

Reporting into the Head of HR and operating as part of the wider HR function, your role as HR Business Partner will be a very busy and challenging one. You will be expected to perform a variety of tasks in an ever changing and fast paced working environment where employee relations are key. As HR Business Partner, your key responsibilities and measurables in the role will include:

  • Dealing with and leading disciplinary and grievance investigations and hearing;
  • Dealing with complex absence management cases;
  • Aligning terms and conditions;
  • Helping to manage a business function of over 700 employees;
  • Managing the probationary review process i.e. advise managers, process paperwork;
  • Leading various projects within the business;
  • Working with other departments in the business to resolve issues;
  • Work closely with other sites in the business;
  • Ensuring that employee personnel files are kept up to date and cleansed on a regular basis;
  • Assist with the development of others in the HR team;
  • Assist the Head of HR with roll out of initiatives or benefits.

About the successful candidate

This is an excellent role for the right individual who is eager to progress in their HR career with an innovative and forward-thinking organisation. Based at their site in Doncaster, you will be people orientated and have previous experience in organisations with 500+ employees. You will also be highly IT literate with excellent PC skills across, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Mail Merge. Naturally, you will be able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines. You will have experience of working with multiple sites and will have lead projects in the past.

Lastly, it is imperative that you have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with different people across the business.
